Discover the coast, lagoon, fields and hills

Near the resort

Setting off from Golden Club Cabanas, you can walk on the beach or follow the pathways along the salt pans, lagoon and orange groves within the Nature Reserve of Ria Formosa, with friends or with family, on foot or by bike.

Walks in the Eastern Algarve - February to April

Discover the most charming of the landscapes making up the Eastern Algarve (the coastline, the Ria Formosa lagoon, the hinterland and the Guadiana River) and its historical towns (Tavira and Faro), and savour the traditional local cuisine.

Explore the Ria Formosa Natural Park over the course of a week. Spend time in the historical town of Tavira, with its 37 churches, castle and Roman bridge, and in the white village of Cacela Velha, with its stunning views of the lagoon. Head down from the hills to the Guadiana River, along the border with Spain. Visit the historical centre of Faro, the Algarve’s capital, and cross the Ludo area for bird spotting.

We take care of everything: transport, an experienced guide and meals served in local restaurants.
